Health Center for tourists and uninsured

Heilsuvernd is a private Health Center for tourists and uninsured, which provides medical service for general illness and minor injuries.

It is a walk-in Clinic to minimize any wait for health service but it is also available to make an appointment, for example for cruise ship passengers prior to their arrival in Reykjavík harbour.

All uninsured individuals staying in Iceland without having gained the right to health insurance can come to the Health Center. All who have resided in Iceland for over 6 months are insured, excluding citizens of the EEA states, since they are insured in another EEA state according to their E-104 certificate.

Opening hours are from 09.00 am to 12.00 and 14:00-18:00 pm all week days.
